Harold "Hal" Ellis was the co-founder of the Grubb & Ellis Company and served as its Chairman and CEO until 1992.  He also served as an outside director of several publicly-traded real estate companies.

Hal is an active member of NAIOP, ICSC, the Lambda Alpha Land Economics Honor Society and holds the designation of Counselor of Real Estate (CRE).  He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
